Turkey Rod Run

Join thousands of antique automobile owners that cruise in to Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach each Thanksgiving weekend in November for the annual Daytona Turkey Run™!  This 3-day event brings car lovers from all over the world to show off their sweet ride.  The Daytona Beach Street Rods started the Daytona Turkey Run™ back in 1974 with only 45 cars and it’s grown to be the largest show of its kind in the nation.  This event is also known as the Turkey Rod Run.

There are a trunk load of things to do during the Daytona Turkey Run™ weekend!  You can’t miss out on the Daytona Beach Car Show and Swap Meet that takes place at the Daytona International Speedway.  The Daytona Beach Street Rods organize an event with over 6000 cars on display.  The Daytona Beach Racing and Recreational Facilities District manages multiple events over the weekend as well.  Those events include a swap meet with 4,000 automotive swap meet vendors, a car corral where there will be over 2,500 cars for sale, a craft exhibit featuring over 100 booths that sell antiques and handcrafted goods, and an edge-of-your-seat classic car auction, presented by Dealer Auctions.  To keep you even more entertained, they will also have a motorcycle show, a variety of food vendors, and celebrity guests!  In the evenings, the tradition is take a cruise around town showing off your one-of-a-kind roadster and then sit around with your buddies while you have a cold one and look at all of the cars.  Don’t forget your camera, because you will have plenty of eye-catching hot rods to take pictures of.
